Account Manager

About the role

The Janitorial Account Manager oversees the day-to-day janitorial operations of an assigned customer site, manages a team of janitorial staff, ensures high-quality services, builds and maintains relationships with both clients and employees, handles escalated issues, and communicates with customers to meet their needs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise janitorial operations
• Hire, train, discipline, and terminate staff
• Manage payroll and scheduling
• Provide quality customer service
• Maintain maintenance of weekly operating schedules
• Handle after-hour emergency responses
• Manage uniforms, equipment, supplies, and vehicles
• Communicate with customers and resolve employee grievances
• Enforce Allied Universal policies

Requirements

• Bilingual in Spanish and English (read, write, and speak)
• 6 months of experience in business management/operations/supervisory roles in facilities or client-focused sites
• Excellent computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Strong communications skills (verbal and written)
• Experience in managing a union environment preferred but not required
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• At least 1 year of management experience, preferably in the janitorial industry
• Experience in the janitorial industry or the ability to be trained in the janitorial industry

Qualifications

• Bi-lingual Spanish/English (read, write and speak)
• 6-months of experience of business management/operations/supervisory experience in facilities or client focused sites
• Preferred but not required: Excellent computer skills, Communications skills, Management experience, Ability to work a flex schedule, Minimum of 1 year management experience, Cleaning experience, Experience in the janitorial industry and/or the ability to be trained in the janitorial industry
