Account Manager

Job Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day financial operations for assigned clients
• Review bookkeeping work, including bank and credit card reconciliations
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable (bill pay & invoicing)
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and their representatives (managers, attorneys, agents, etc.)
• Review and reconcile intercompany accounts
• Prepare and review payroll reports
• Absorb commissions schedules
• Absorb preparation and review of 1099 forms
• Absorb coordination with tax team regarding tax planning and compliance matters
• Absorb preparation and review of financial reports and Excel schedules for clients and internal review
• Help prioritize workflow and ensure deadlines are met
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working in business management or accounting
• Experience in the music industry strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
• Experience managing financial workflows and reviewing work of junior staff preferred
• In-person 5 days a week (non-remote)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Strong proficiency with accounting software – AgilLink, QuickBooks Desktop, or QuickBooks Online
• Experience with preparation of 1099 forms
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
• Ability to work overtime if necessary
