Account Manager- Accelerated Sales Program

The Accelerated Sales Program is a comprehensive, sales-specific training program designed to fast-track the growth and development of new Outside Sales Representatives/Account Managers. Participants will work closely with White Cap sales leaders in a 6-12 month program to develop the skills, customer and supplier relationships, and knowledge needed to be successful in outside sales.
Participates in
- Classroom, independent study, and on-the-job training to learn the White Cap’s business model, products, vendors, customer needs, jobsite environment, systems, competitors, pricing, sales approach, and selling skills.
- Prepares and executes account plans.
- Sells White Cap value proposition and products.
- Learns about making effective jobsite or office sales calls by riding along with the District Sales Manager or experienced Account Managers.
- Enters and processes customer orders.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Operation of a company vehicle or a personal vehicle more than 80% of the average work week.
- A Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report must be acceptable for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field or one to two years of sales or related field experience.
- Strong communication skills and comfortable interacting with team members.
- Requires strong self-governance, a proactive approach, personal accountability, and independence.
- Competitive nature with a drive to succeed.
- Goal-oriented with personal accountability to deliver on metrics.
- Open to feedback and willing to take action to improve performance.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and organize daily activities.
- Spanish language proficiency.
Pay Range
This position’s targeted base salary is $37,000 per year. This role is eligible for additional variable compensation with a starting target of $80,000 per year. Compensation will be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data.
