Responsibilities
- Demonstrate commitment to and leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies, and procedures.
- Develop and manage relationships with assigned clients to increase revenue.
- Pursue and develop relationships with potential new accounts and seek business expansion opportunities with current clients.
- Generate leads, maintain existing accounts, and develop new clientele.
- Plan, carry out, and support local marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales; integrate sales efforts with organized marketing activities such as product/service launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions, and trade shows.
- Develop and recommend Buy Group show program and strategy to increase sales, profitability, and market penetration.
- Provide sales quotations and respond to requests for proposals.
- Regularly track sales results and forecast for assigned accounts.
- Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions to aid business development.
- Follow standardized and optimized sales processes, including renewals and statement of work development.
- Periodically visit client locations to ensure client satisfaction and promote ongoing contract renewal.
- Attend training to develop relevant knowledge, techniques, and skills.
- Learn product specifications and develop and conduct engaging demonstrations.
- Respond to difficult situations effectively while maintaining a high level of energy and commitment.
- Maintain and advance established accounts as well as develop new accounts by regularly contacting clients within your defined territory.
- Manage assigned customer accounts through emails and sales calls.
- Ensure all customers’ purchase orders are scheduled and entered accurately and timely.
- Respond immediately to requests from customers for information.
- Engage in technical discussions with potential clients through demonstrations and presentations.
- Keep management informed of all activity, including timely preparation of reports.
- Assist with planning and execution of Daniel Defense University regularly throughout the year.
- Work on projects/matters/tasks of a complex nature within the job function.
- Work under general supervision, occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.
- Participate in the company’s efforts to continuously improve in Safety, 6S, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity.
- Contribute to company standards on high integrity, safety, fair and equitable treatment, and a positive work environment.
- Perform other responsibilities as deemed appropriate or necessary by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with 2-4 years of experience or a combination of related experience, education, and/or training to sufficiently perform the essential functions of the job.
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
- Detailed knowledge of products and services being offered; ensures products and services consistently meet client needs.
- Teamwork and the ability to cooperate and work proactively with others.
- Customer service oriented, flexible, independent, and outgoing.
- Resourceful problem solver who is highly organized and motivated to make swift decisions.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and use sound judgment.
- Great attention to detail and excellent record-keeping skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Self-motivated; willing to put in extra effort and hours as needed.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and work under deadlines and pressure.

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, identify and address problems, meet deadlines, and stay within budget.
- Competent with computer software such as Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook, Word).
- Demonstrated ability to recognize and work in accordance with company values.
- Travel requirements: 15 to 25% of the year.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, and bending throughout the normal work day—extensively at trade shows, meetings, etc.
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to noise, chemicals, lights/lasers, and machinery.
- Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment as required by position and/or company policy.
