Account Management Supervisor

About the role
The Account Management Supervisor will lead a team of Account Managers, focusing on performance management, professional development, and customer success. This leadership role ensures the health and profitability of the team’s portfolio while serving as an escalation point for customers. The supervisor drives portfolio growth through coaching in areas like opportunity identification, relationship building, and customer quoting.
Responsibilities
- Hire, train, and develop the Account Management team to meet company expectations and address underperformance.
- Conduct weekly 1:1s to coach and motivate the team using KPIs, metrics, individual goals, portfolio growth, and career-pathing discussions.
- Manage daily workflow, delegate responsibilities during absences, and provide hands-on support as needed.
- Ensure the team meets or exceeds customer SLAs for tender acceptance and on-time delivery, emphasizing proactive and timely responses.
- Collaborate with Account Managers to analyze customer feedback and drive improvements.
- Provide coaching and strategic insight for customer reviews (MBR & QBRs).
- Oversee pricing requests and RFPs, coordinating with Sales Executives and leadership as needed.
- Monitor market trends and educate customers and direct reports.
- Maintain and enforce customer SOPs to meet expectations.
- Complete annual performance reviews and set goals aligned with job responsibilities and professional development.
- Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all company policies.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (Required).
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred).
- 0–3 years of team management or supervision experience (Required).
- 3–5 years of logistics or transportation experience (Required).
Skills
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM) – Medium proficiency.
- Transportation Management Systems (TMS) – Medium proficiency.
- Microsoft Office Suite – Medium proficiency.

Pay
$87,590.00–$131,390.00 annually, varying by geography, knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.
