About the role
New England Wrecker Sales (NEWS), a NETC Fleet Services company, builds and sells heavy-, medium-, and light-duty wreckers, carriers, and rotators to towing operators, recovery professionals, and fleets across New England. As part of a privately held, PE‑backed family of brands, NEWS operates an eight‑figure wrecker sales line with a full stock build schedule already in motion and inventory staged for the fall selling season.
Responsibilities
- Own commercial truck, wrecker, and carrier sales for the New England territory.
- Build direct, trust‑based relationships with towing operators, recovery professionals, and fleet decision‑makers, owning each customer relationship for life — from first conversation through build, delivery, and ongoing parts and equipment business.
- Set the pace for how NEWS goes to market; act as the commercial voice of the brand for customers, builders, the parts counter, and company leadership.
- Grow territory revenue 15% in the first full year and 30% by the second year.
- Own the September–December selling season, converting staged stock inventory (40+ units) into delivered trucks.
- Build and maintain a rolling forward pipeline of $5–6 million within 120 days of start.
- Establish active relationships with the top 50 wrecker and carrier buyers in the territory within the first two selling quarters.
- Grow recurring parts sales to equipment customers.
- Represent NEWS at 6‑8 industry events a year (Baltimore Tow Show, Florida Tow Show, Tow Summit, regional state tow association events).
- Maintain CRM and forecast discipline: log every prospect, quote, and customer conversation; achieve forecast accuracy within ±10% by the second month of each quarter.
- Work directly with the build shop and leadership on stock build planning, influencing chassis, body, and configuration mix based on market insight.
Requirements
- Demonstrated B2B capital‑equipment sales success — heavy truck, fleet equipment, towing or recovery equipment, or directly adjacent industries.
- Working knowledge of commercial truck chassis (Peterbilt, Kenworth, Freightliner, Western Star, International) and towing/recovery equipment.
- Comfort operating in $100K–$1M+ deal sizes with multi‑month sales cycles.
- CRM discipline and clean forecasting habits.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel the territory.
