About the role
We are seeking an Account Executive - Welding & Industrial Gases in Shreveport or Monroe, LA. This role involves nurturing and growing key client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts, and providing comprehensive solutions across welding processes, industrial gases, and welding hard goods.
Responsibilities
- Research industry trends and attend events to identify new metal fabrication partners.
- Qualify prospects, build alignment on pricing and product sale agreements, and manage ambiguous deal requirements.
- Develop engagement strategies linking customer priorities to Airgas value proposition.
- Build lasting connections by managing pricing, product delivery, and service inquiries.
- Transition day-to-day service at newly signed accounts and mentor local sales teams.
- Provide sophisticated, multi-layered solutions through collaboration with technical experts.
Requirements
- Reliable transportation, current driver's license, minimum liability insurance as required by state of vehicle registration.
- Minimum 4 years of related professional experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Welding), or a related technical field.
- Advanced Education (MBA or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline) is preferred.
- Professional Certifications such as AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), Certified Sales Professional (CSP), or other industry-recognized credentials.
- Familiarity with welding processes, metallurgy, industrial gases, gas delivery & safety, equipment & consumables, and automation & robotics.

Pay
Competitive compensation package to include a Bonus Plan 40%-50% travel with some overnights.
Schedule
40-hour workweek with some overnight travel.
