About the role

Tessell is seeking a skilled Database Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience with database management systems and a passion for innovation.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain database solutions for complex applications
• Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions
• Perform database migrations and upgrades
• Develop and maintain database documentation and support user training

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in database administration and/or development
• Experience with at least one major database system (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
• Strong understanding of relational database design and normalization
• Proficiency in SQL and database query optimization
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Milvus)
• Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools
• Understanding of data governance and compliance standards

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually
