About the role
Sell and service eyewear products by managing existing accounts and developing new prospects across a wide range of industries. Leverage broad knowledge of the organization’s services, products, and marketing techniques to achieve market share growth objectives and operational goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop creative sales strategies to contact prospects, create opportunities, and increase revenue.
- Cultivate and maintain strong business relationships with customers and prospective customers.
- Represent the eyewear line of business in all sales-oriented activities.
- Work independently while collaborating with partners, teams, and colleagues to exceed quota targets and achieve balanced product line results.
- Apply innovative ideas, approaches, and product solutions to address customer business problems by understanding their needs and requirements.
- Maintain current knowledge of existing and new products/services to ensure accurate information is provided.
- Identify and communicate future customer requirements and feedback to appropriate VSP divisions.
- Act as a liaison between VSP departments and customers to ensure service levels and expectations are met.
- Collaborate with marketing and product development to address customer needs and analyze market data.
- Utilize sales automation systems to make inquiries, maintain records, and prepare reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Three or more years of sales experience with demonstrated account management, servicing, negotiation, and established customer relationships.
- Results-driven with strong planning, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Proven track record of meeting sales/revenue goals with small to medium account responsibility.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop business-to-business relationships.
- Highly adaptable, positive, resilient, and open to new ideas.
- Resourceful team player who excels at building trusting relationships.
- Innovative problem-solver who generates workable solutions.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent sales opportunities effectively.
- Must travel more than 50% of the time.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to achieve and maintain any applicable agent licensing requirements for assigned sales territory.
- For remote or hybrid roles, must demonstrate high engagement in virtual environments, including maintaining camera presence during meetings.
Pay
Salary range: $58,656.00 – $80,743.65. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. This role may include eligible bonuses and commissions.
