About the role

We are looking for a motivated Account Executive to oversee the Bronx, NY territory in this unique community-based opportunity. New hire training will be held in-person at our Phoenix, AZ campus.

As an Account Executive, you will play an integral role in providing Grand Canyon University students the roadmap for success from application through to completion of the first few classes.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy and execution: Identify and implement event/activity plans for your territory, building awareness of our online academic programs for education, healthcare and business, and drive inquiry generation. Shape high-impact partnerships and execute daily work through informational presentations, calls, and emails, iterating as needed to maximize value.
  • Partner and influencer: Use your passion for serving others to provide exceptional counseling to prospective students, their families, and partners through a variety of mediums (in-person, over the phone, or via email). Champion the GCE mission, promoting Grand Canyon University student success and institutional growth.
  • Heart and Hustle: Work independently in this remote role with ambitious targets. Use out-of-the-box critical thinking skills to support prospective students through the admissions process, guiding them toward a successful online learning experience.
  • Extensive travel within your territory, including some evening and/or weekend availability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • No delinquent or in default on a federal student loan as verified in your credit report. If in a rehabilitation program, your credit report must reflect that you are current, not delinquent, on your payments.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated success in outside business development, consultative sales, or account management.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a flexible schedule. Clean driving record and ability to use your personal vehicle for extensive travel.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and computer literacy.

Skills

  • Outstanding time management and ability to prioritize competing priorities, even while traveling.
  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts effectively in person, in writing, and on the phone. Strong listening skills.
  • Self-motivation and drive to succeed, with a willingness to volunteer for new challenges.
  • High emotional intelligence, with the ability to demonstrate empathy while coaching a diverse range of students and nurturing partner relationships.

Bonus Points

  • Relevant industry-related professional experience.
  • Experience working with CRM tools.

Pay

Starting salary is $75,000 per year with earning potential of a six-figure income after 5 years of successful service.
