About the role

We are looking for a motivated Account Executive to oversee the Manhattan, NY territory in this unique community-based opportunity. New hire training will be held in-person at our Phoenix, AZ campus.

As an Account Executive, you’ll play an integral role in providing Grand Canyon University students the roadmap for success from application through to completion of the first few classes.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy and execution: Consistently identify and implement event/activity plans for your territory, building awareness of our online academic programs for education, healthcare, and business to drive inquiry generation. Shape high-impact partnerships and execute daily work through informational presentations, calls, and emails, iterating as needed to maximize value.
  • Partner and influencer: Use your passion for serving others to provide exceptional counseling to prospective students, their families, and partners through a variety of mediums (in-person, phone, email). Champion the GCE mission, promoting Grand Canyon University student success and institutional growth.
  • Heart and Hustle: Work independently in this remote role with ambitious targets, using out-of-the-box critical thinking skills to support prospective students through the admissions process and guide them toward a successful online learning experience.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree.
  • No delinquent or default status on a federal student loan as verified in your credit report. If in a rehabilitation program, your credit report must reflect current, non-delinquent payments.
  • Outstanding time management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing tasks while traveling.
  • Clear communication skills, comfortable interacting in person, in writing, and on the phone, with well-developed listening skills.
  • Self-motivation and drive to succeed, taking ownership of challenges without waiting to be asked.
  • High emotional intelligence, with the ability to demonstrate empathy while coaching a diverse range of students and nurturing partner relationships.
  • A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a flexible schedule. Extensive travel in your territory is required, including some evening and/or weekend availability.
  • Computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with CRM tools is a plus.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of demonstrated success in outside business development, consultative sales, or account management.
  • Relevant industry-related professional experience is a bonus.

Pay

Starting salary is $75,000 per year with earning potential of a six-figure income after 5 years of successful service.
