Account Executive - Northeast

About the role

Tessell is seeking a skilled Database Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience with database management systems and a passion for innovation.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement database solutions for complex applications
• Optimize database performance and ensure high availability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions
• Implement and maintain database security measures
• Perform database backups and disaster recovery procedures
• Monitor and troubleshoot database issues

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in database administration or engineering
• Experience with at least one major database system (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
• Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Milvus)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Experience with machine learning and AI technologies
• Hands-on experience with database automation tools
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with database performance tuning and optimization

Skills

• Strong programming skills in SQL and PL/SQL
• Experience with database replication and clustering
• Knowledge of database backup and recovery techniques
• Experience with database monitoring and logging tools
• Experience with database security best practices

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually
