Account Executive, Messaging
About the role
Are you the writer who can take a dense research deck and turn it into something a spokesperson would actually say? Do you move easily between a social caption, a set of talking points, a landing page, a campaign tagline, and a first draft of an op-ed? RALLY’s Messaging vertical is the persuasive engine of the agency. We turn research, insight, and the science of persuasion into language that moves audiences, shifts narratives, and creates the conditions for real social change. We are looking for an Account Executive to help us do that on some of the country’s most consequential issues. You are a great fit for this role if you are, above all, a strong and versatile writer. You know the difference between copy and messaging, and you are hungry to learn the craft behind framing, message frameworks, and narrative change. You write with tension, emotion, and a point of view, and you can write convincingly in someone else’s voice. Whether you come from an agency, an in-house nonprofit team, a political or issue campaign, or traditional marketing, you are quick on a turnaround, generous with feedback, and rigorous about accuracy. If you are a collaborative self-starter who can hold multiple accounts and deadlines at once, this opportunity could be for you.
Responsibilities
- Produce strong first drafts of messaging deliverables, including core messages, toplines, proof points, dos and don’ts, and channel‑specific variants.
- Translate a message framework into channel‑ and messenger‑appropriate language: for example, a headline, a Reel, a 30‑
