About the role

Louisiana First News is seeking a motivated and results-driven Account Executive to join our growing sales team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to help local businesses throughout the Baton Rouge area and surrounding communities grow through innovative advertising solutions across broadcast television, digital, streaming, social media, and other multimedia platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships within the Baton Rouge business community and surrounding markets.
  • Conduct sales calls and presentations with existing clients and prospective advertisers.
  • Manage and grow an assigned account list while actively pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Develop customized marketing solutions utilizing Louisiana First News' television, digital, streaming, and social media advertising platforms.
  • Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations that demonstrate the value and effectiveness of advertising solutions.
  • Educate clients on how Louisiana First News can help them reach their target audience and achieve their business objectives.
  • Provide clients with audience insights and campaign recommendations.
  • Collaborate with station leadership, creative services, digital teams, and sales support staff to develop effective advertising campaigns.
  • Work closely with clients throughout the campaign process to ensure successful execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and activity reporting within company systems.
  • Represent Louisiana First News professionally at community, networking, and business events.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Advertising, Mass Communications, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of one year of sales experience, preferably in media, advertising, marketing, or business development.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and generate new business opportunities.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Pioneered ability to establish long-term objectives and implement strategies to achieve sales goals.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems; ability to learn sales and media platforms.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Knowledge of the Baton Rouge market and local business community is a plus.
