About the Role

As an Account Executive in Group Events, you’ll develop, service, and nurture client relationships with a strong emphasis on selling group events and group ticket inventory for both the Timberwolves & Lynx. Your contributions will help drive our vision and blaze trails in ticket sales and brand engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new sales revenue in group events by researching and contacting individuals, companies, and industries.
  • Make cold calls, attend charity and networking events, and conduct professional meetings to engage with potential clients.
  • Sell group tickets, full and partial season memberships, and premium seating to new and existing clients.
  • Meet or exceed weekly “hustle” requirements and appointment expectations.
  • Build excellent client relationships through unique touch points, prompt responses, and dynamic engagement.
  • Detail all communication efforts in CRM in a timely manner.
  • Participate in educational opportunities on product offerings, pricing, sales strategies, market trends, and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer skills: experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is preferred.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work well on a team and independently.
  • Manage specific processes and tasks under supervision.
  • Knowledge of CRM and Veritix is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one (1) year of sales experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is also preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of business practices within professional sports is preferred.

Pay

The base salary range for this non-exempt role is $50,000. There are opportunities for an annual corporate bonus.

Schedule

This role operates in a professional office environment and requires attendance at Timberwolves and Lynx home games, as well as external events such as charity and networking events. Work hours are flexible and include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Work Environment

This job operates primarily in a professional office environment with standard office equipment. It also includes work in a sports arena, which may involve bleachers/steps and moderate to high noise levels. The role is generally sedentary but may require standing, walking, and ascending/descending bleachers. Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds may be required.
