About the role
The Employee Benefits Account Executive manages an assigned book of business, ensuring client satisfaction, timely project management, and strategic planning. Collaboration with various teams is crucial for delivering comprehensive service offerings.
Responsibilities
- Oversee client relationships and service tasks, including strategy execution, coordination, task optimization, progress monitoring, and adherence to best practices.
- Understand clients' insurance objectives, analyze and compare insurance plans, and stay informed about industry changes and external conditions.
- Act as a liaison between clients and carriers, TPAs, and vendor partners to resolve complex service issues, such as claims, billing, eligibility, and final term negotiation.
- Educate and advise clients and team members on all aspects of benefits, including leading implementation projects, identifying benchmarks, evaluating claims reports, and managing client meetings.
- Prepare reports for management and contribute to additional projects supporting the Employee Benefits team.
- Act as a subject matter expert on one or more topics to foster continuous improvement within the team.
- Mentor and train team members, enhancing their understanding of industry intricacies and fostering excellent team relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in Group Benefits, either on the agency side or the carrier side
- Texas Life & Health License required, must be proactive in maintaining CE hours
- Strategic mindset, adept at navigating complexities and emerging with clarity and purpose
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written, on the phone and in person)
- Proficiency in Applied Systems, electronic signature platforms, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and related tools
Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred
