About the Role

The Employee Benefits Account Executive holds ultimate responsibility for comprehensive management of an assigned book of business. This includes the vital roles of ensuring client satisfaction, timely project management and strategic planning. Close collaboration with Consultant-Producers, Clients, Account Management, and the Group Benefits Support Team is essential to ensure the complete service offering and deliverables are provided proactively and thoroughly.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the client relationship and client service-related tasks, including executing client strategy, coordinating with team members to meet deliverables, optimizing task assignments, monitoring project progress, ensuring the timely accomplishment of objectives, and adherence to best practices.
  • Acquire an understanding of clients' insurance objectives, critically analyze and compare insurance plans, and stay updated on industry changes and external conditions.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and carriers, TPA's and vendor partners, etc to resolve complex service issues, including claims, billing, eligibility, final term negotiation and compliance.
  • Educate, advise, and serve as a technical expert for clients and team members on all aspects of benefits, including leading implementation projects, identifying benchmarking, evaluating claims reports, etc.
  • Manage and conduct client meetings regularly, initiate client communication, and document conversations effectively.
  • Prepare necessary reports for management and contribute to additional projects supporting the development and advancement of the Employee Benefits team.
  • Act as a champion subject matter expert on one or more topics to foster an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Provide mentorship and training to team members, facilitating their understanding of industry intricacies and fostering excellent team relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in Group Benefits either working on the agency side or the carrier side.
  • Must be able to work independently and build strong client and company relationships.
  • Texas Life & Health License is required. Keep license current by proactively maintaining CE hours.
  • A strategic mindset, adept at navigating complexities and emerging with clarity and purpose
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written forms; on the phone and in person)
  • Proficiency in Applied Systems, electronic signature platforms, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and related tools

Schedule

This role is hybrid with 2-3 days in the office weekly in our Lubbock office.
