Account Executive, Creditors Rights
About the Role
We are hiring a Senior Account Executive to lead new business development in our Creditors’ Rights division. This is an enterprise hunter role — you will own the full sales motion from prospecting to close for the largest debt buyers and creditors’ rights law firms in the country. The accounts you are selling into are sophisticated, volume-driven, and relationship-first. They care about compliance, documentation quality, jurisdictional accuracy, and throughput.
This is not a volume-dial SDR-supported role. You will need to build relationships at the Managing Partner, Director of Operations, and VP of Legal Operations level. Your credibility, your knowledge of the creditors’ rights process, and your ability to connect Proof’s platform to their specific operational pain is how you win. The right person has sold into legal operations or a regulated industry requiring complex compliance and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Enterprise Pipeline Development
- Own a named account list of the highest-priority creditors’ rights law firms and major debt buyers in the country, and the law firms they engage in every state they file
- Build and execute a strategic outbound motion — executive outreach, industry conference presence, referrals from existing Proof clients, and event-driven cultivation
- Develop and maintain a 12-18 month pipeline with consistent 45-60 day senior-level touches on all target accounts — when the timing is right, Proof’s name is the one they call
- Full-Cycle Enterprise Sales
- Lead consultative discovery with senior decision makers — Managing Partners, Directors of Operations, Legal Operations leads — to surface workflow bottlenecks, jurisdictional compliance risks, and documentation gaps
- Navigate multi-stakeholder deals across operations, legal, compliance, and IT — with deal cycles typically ranging from 3-6 months for enterprise accounts
- Deliver tailored presentations and demos that connect Proof’s platform directly to a firm’s specific state footprint, plaintiff mix, and volume profile
- Own the commercial negotiation and close, including enterprise pricing, multi-year agreements, volume tier structures
- Manage a clean, accurate forecast in HubSpot with consistent pipeline hygiene and disciplined stage progression
- Account Expansion & Ramp Management
- Partner with the Account Management team at customer kickoff. Work alongside the Account Manager for the first three quarters, following a mutual success plan that defines committed volume targets, reporting cadence, and ramp milestones
- Maintain executive-level relationships within existing accounts to drive volume expansion into new states, new plaintiff types, and new practice areas
- Partner with the AM team on QBRs and strategic account reviews for your largest accounts
- Industry Presence
- Represent Proof at major creditors’ rights industry events
- Host executive dinners and private client events in key markets to build and deepen relationships with target accounts
Requirements
- Required
- 5+ years of full-cycle B2B sales experience with at least 3 years selling into creditors’ rights, legal services, financial services, or a regulated industry with complex compliance requirements
- Demonstrated track record of landing and expanding enterprise accounts, deals above $200K annually, 6+ month cycles, multi-stakeholder environments
- Familiarity with the creditors’ rights and consumer collections ecosystem. You know how major debt buyers work with their law firm partners
- Understanding of the legal process serving workflow including service of process, affidavit of service, substituted service rules, e-filing, judgment motions — or the demonstrated ability to learn it fast and speak fluently about it within 90 days
- Executive presence and consultative selling skills. You can hold a meaningful conversation with a Managing Partner or VP of Operations about their actual operational pain, not just a product feature
- Strong pipeline discipline - you own your number, you build your own outbound, and you keep your CRM accurate without being asked
- Willingness to travel to industry conferences and client visits. Estimated 20-25% travel
- Strongly Preferred
- Prior experience selling to creditors’ rights law firms, debt buyers, or the ARM industry directly
- Existing relationships at high-volume creditors’ rights law firms
- Relationships at major debt buyers
- Experience with legal technology, process serving platforms, e-filing systems, or case management software
- Familiarity with state-by-state service of process requirements across your target markets
- Active presence in national or state creditors’ rights industry and bar associations
