Account Executive, Corporate

About the role

5W Public Relations is seeking an Account Executive to join our Corporate practice. The ideal candidate will have experience with Corporate or B2B-focused clients within an agency setting, excel at pitching, and possess superior account and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage team workflow and take ownership of account work while driving consistent media results.
• Create and develop media materials – press kits, press releases, media alerts, fact sheets, bios, case studies, etc.
• Develop and maintain relationships with prominent members of the media to ensure placements.
• Develop strategic communication plans, including media opportunities, tactics, and timelines consistent with the overall PR strategy.
• Execute and advise on PR strategies and collaboratively develop strategic media plans.
• Create and develop proactive pitch ideas for clients based on industry, current trends, and various announcements.
• Monitor media and seek out speaking opportunities for clients as “experts in their field.”
• Daily client interaction to update, report on, and discuss strategy and results.
• Assist in the research, writing, and development of new business proposals and presentations.
• Provide guidance and leadership to junior-level staff.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop strategic/creative thinking for clients.

Requirements

• B.S/B.A in Public Relations or related field.
• 2-3 years of PR agency experience, preferred in the corporate space.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong leadership and motivation skills.
• Proven client relations and supervisory skills.
• Creative and energetic personality.
