About the Role
As an Account Executive, you will sell the company's industry-leading pest management services and products to new and existing commercial customers while maintaining a customer-focused approach to grow the business. You will call on market segments including hospitality, food & beverage processing, healthcare, and retail. The role involves comprehensive training to learn pest management services, inspect and identify infestations, and create proposals that result in sales.
Responsibilities
- Create new business opportunities through cold calling, prospecting, networking, leads, referrals, and cross-selling
- Visually inspect buildings for pests, pest harborage, pest entries, etc.
- Sell pest control solutions and preventative maintenance for commercial customers based on assessment findings
- Craft territory development strategies to exceed sales targets
- Learn and maintain complete knowledge of Rentokil’s programs, protocols, pricing policies, and service offerings
- Build partnerships and collaborate with internal departments to maximize growth opportunities and ensure outstanding service delivery
- Complete daily activities and track sales performance using the company’s CRM
Essential Job Functions
- Regularly lift, carry, push, pull, or reposition objects up to 10 lbs., and frequently handle objects weighing 11–20 lbs.
- Frequently move around, including sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
- Navigate stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles, and maintain balance on narrow, slippery, or moving surfaces
- Work in small spaces such as basements, crawl spaces, and attics, and handle exposure to pests (e.g., spiders, flies, mosquitos, rodents)
- Safely operate and maintain a motor vehicle and equipment
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), such as OSHA-compliant respirators, and work in confined spaces or narrow passageways
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license from your current state of residence
- Strong social, customer service, and communication skills
- Preferred: Two years of Business-to-Business sales experience, including prospecting skills (cold calling, lead generation, networking)
- Self-motivated with a hunter’s mentality and ability to work independently
- Willingness to obtain required industry licenses (provided and paid for by the company)
- Travel up to 100% of the time within assigned territory(s)
Pay
Base pay range: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 yearly. Starting pay may vary based on geographic location, skills, education, and experience. Total earnings may include overtime, incentives, commissions, performance bonuses, and route assignment (where applicable).
