About the role
We are seeking a dynamic Account Executive for our Palm Beach Territory. The ideal candidate will build relationships with healthcare professionals and manage the referral process for home health care services.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, discharge planners, and case managers to promote home health care services.
- Conduct in-services, presentations, educational programs, and host and attend relevant events to introduce home health care services.
- Coordinate and complete on-site discharge planning as needed.
- Perform a territory market analysis and develop quarterly/annual business development plans.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate all marketing/sales activities for the company’s services.
- Establish and maintain new business referral sources consistently.
- Maintain current relationships with referral sources.
- Meet regularly with the clinical team.
- Identify and implement market strategies with sales and clinical teams to drive census growth.
- Maintain knowledge of Medicare and state-specific home health care regulations.
- Obtain physician’s orders for specified treatments and participate in the referral process.
- Prepare business plans and maintain target lists.
- Prioritize accounts according to the market sales plan.
- Gather and organize account-related information and provide input on key customer opportunities, service line extensions, and proposal or contract pricing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a health-related science (e.g., nursing, pharmacy, etc.) or equivalent, plus at least two years of health care or related industry sales experience generally required.
- Excellent selling, organizational, problem-solving skills, and the ability to appropriately represent the company’s service capabilities to targeted referral source audiences.
- Preferred previous healthcare sales experience in skilled nursing facilities, durable medical equipment (DME), orthopedics, cardiology, etc., or previous experience as a clinical liaison.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills required.
- Microsoft Office proficiency required.
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory and attend sales meetings as required.
