Account Executive

About the role
The Account Executive role sits at the intersection of client service, content strategy, and execution, requiring both big-picture thinking and day-to-day operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Setup
- Leads hours estimating and pricing for projects in collaboration with Client Services and technical leads
- Develops and owns the project schedule from intake through delivery, incorporating input from functional leads
- Collaborates on Statement of Work (SOW) creation with Client Services
- Completes all project setup tasks utilizing agency and client tools
- Assigns resources in project management tools in coordination with Operations & Resource Management and functional managers
- Leads the Internal Kickoff meeting; refines schedule and Jira tasks as needed post-kickoff
- Project Execution & Workflow Management
- Manages end-to-end project execution from build through deployment, coordinating workflows in Jira, data briefs, code and data handoffs, quality assurance testing, and project closeout activities
- Participates in internal creative reviews to ensure alignment with project requirements and delivery expectations; contributes to external creative reviews following the concept phase
- Facilitates and is accountable for Internal Weekly Status Meetings (operational agenda)
- Updates and manages data briefs; leads internal data brief reviews
- Oversees build preparation: production instructions, alt tag coordination, creative file handoffs, and campaign build forms
- Assembles and edits emails using a drag-and-drop build tool (no coding required)—including module layout, audience targeting, proof generation, and incorporating team/client feedback
- Leads Build Kickoff; manages coordination across front-end development, application development, quality assurance (QA), and data through the build phase
- QA & Testing Coordination
- Coordinates QA process across multiple rounds, including test plan development, sample data creation, internal testing, and client User Acceptance Testing (UAT) rounds
- Manages client bug logging and resolution
- Partners with Client Services on client-facing communications during UAT (approvals, test distribution, final sign-off)
- Deployment & Campaign Delivery
- Manages go-live readiness confirmation and final deployment setup
- Leads final campaign checks; manages deployment in partnership with Client Services for client communication
- Standards, Process & Technology
- Drives adoption and compliance with standard project management processes and tools
- Contributes to continuous process improvement within assigned accounts
- Actively applies AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and delivery speed
- Participates in Learning Communities relevant to workflow management and automation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
- 3–6 years of project management experience in an advertising or marketing environment
- Proficiency with project management tools (such as Jira, Microsoft Project, Confluence)
- Familiarity with marketing technology and digital production workflows (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud) and digital banner tools preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Clear, calm communicator; skilled at managing cross-functional teams under deadline pressure
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across accounts
- Agency experience strongly preferred

Pay
Pay Range: $35,000 USD - $75,000 USD
Schedule
This position is hybrid, with an expectation to be onsite in our downtown Minneapolis, MN office 10 times a month.
