About the role
As an Account Executive at Neon One, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our reach and enhancing our customer success by driving sales within the small to mid-sized nonprofit market. Your responsibilities include converting qualified meetings into wins, managing the sales cycle, generating new pipelines, and fostering strong relationships with prospective customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Opportunity Conversion: Convert qualified meetings generated by the SDR team and strategic alliances into new customer wins, effectively positioning Neon One's solutions.
- Sales Cycle Management: Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial discovery and demonstration to negotiation and closing, ensuring a seamless experience for prospective customers.
- Pipeline Generation: Collaborate with SDRs and strategic partners to understand lead sources and contribute to strategies for generating new pipelines.
- Solution Positioning: Effectively articulate the value proposition of Neon One's platform and tailor solutions to address the specific needs and challenges of small to mid-sized nonprofits.
- Successful Onboarding & Handoff: Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure a seamless transition for new customers from sales to their dedicated account manager, contributing to increased customer satisfaction and retention.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and the evolving needs of small to mid-sized nonprofits to effectively position Neon One's solutions.
- Performance Tracking and Reporting: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales activity, including conversion rates from qualified meetings, sales won, and pipeline contribution.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with prospective customers and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
Key Qualifications
- A degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in direct software sales, account management, or a related role, with a proven track record of converting qualified leads into wins.
- Strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by small nonprofit organizations.
- Proven ability to manage a sales pipeline and achieve sales objectives.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to track and report on key performance metrics.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in CRM software is a must.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and events.
