Account Executive
About the role
We’re looking for a driven and results-oriented Account Executive to accelerate growth by winning new business and expanding existing client relationships. In this role, you’ll bring customized transportation solutions to market - including domestic intermodal, highway brokerage, and specialized freight services.
Responsibilities
- Drive Revenue Growth
- Possess a proven track record of generating and closing new business
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across target markets
- Expand and retain existing customer accounts to increase revenue and margin contribution
- Develop strategic sales plans to grow market share and achieve revenue targets
- Build and Manage Client Relationships
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, prospects, and industry contacts
- Conduct impactful sales presentations and solution-based consultations
- Act as a trusted advisor by understanding customer supply chain needs and delivering tailored solutions
- Develop Transportation Solutions
- Collaborate with internal teams to design cost-effective, operationally sound transportation solutions
- Affordably assess customer project requirements, including specialized, project-based, and heavy haul freight
- Partner with operations and carrier networks to ensure successful execution
- Expand Network & Market Presence
- Leverage industry relationships to source both customer opportunities and carrier partnerships
- Represent the company in client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities
- Utilize travel and customer engagement activities to grow business within budget guidelines
- Execute & Deliver Results
- Maintain accurate sales activity tracking, reporting, and pipeline management
- Timely follow-up, clear communication, and strong customer experience
- Partner with finance and operations to support billing accuracy, collections, and accessorial management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 5+ years of transportation or logistics sales experience
- Proven ability to generate and close new business
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and sales tools/technology
Extra Credit
- If you have a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Transportation, or a related field
- If you have experience with intermodal, brokerage, project freight, or heavy haul
- If you have established industry network and customer relationships
- If you have the ability and willingness to travel as needed
- If you have a commitment to safety, compliance, and company policies

The annual salary range is posted for this position and is eligible for commission. The salary offered will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
