Job Summary
Works under the supervision of the Director of Patient Care Services. Develops relationships with physicians, long-term care facilities, and other health care providers to increase patient census and length of stay. Acts as a resource to referral partners, providing service information and education.
Primary Job Duties
- Acts as a marketing and sales liaison between LCFL and referral sources, providing service information and education.
- Identifies and addresses barriers to service in the community, physician offices, and facilities, and works to resolve issues.
- Develops and maintains business partnerships to generate hospice referral growth through effective sales contacts, calls, and presentations.
- Supports the development and execution of LCFL's Marketing & Engagement plan.
- Analyzes trends and patterns in referrals and admissions to identify needs and develop marketing strategies.
- Maintains and adjusts schedule to enhance program performance.
- Demonstrates positive interpersonal relations and maintains customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrates the mission, vision, and values of Lower Cape Fear Hospice daily.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- Education: Degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Licensure / Certifications: Not specified.
- Experience: Three years experience, preference in hospice or home care or experience in marketing, public affairs, community relations or hospital liaison nurse.
- Essential Technical / Motor Skills: Ability to speak clearly to communicate with patients, families, physicians, and staff; good command of the English language; computer experience helpful.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to develop positive interactions with patients, families, physicians, and staff and other health professionals; strong verbal and written communication skills; self-motivated and self-disciplined.
- Essential Physical Requirements: Ability to move freely; ability to work a full day and participate in occasional after-hour events; ability to organize thoughts, facts, and ideas; ability to translate the written word; exposure to hazards rare but possible; ability to drive; subject to the Safe Driver Policy.
