Account Executive
About the role
The Account Executive, under the supervision of the Sales Manager and the Director of Sales, acts as an Account executive for Mount Carmel Hospice and referral sources such as discharge planners in acute care, skilled nursing, short-term rehabilitation settings, as well as independent living, personal care and assisted living facilities, CCRCs and physician practices. The Account Executive is the face of Mount Carmel Hospice in their assigned geography. The Account Executive works across all departments as necessary to coordinate care. The Account Executive also works closely with the referral source, patients and their families to outline our services and gather the necessary information for a safe transition to home; therefore, strong communication and relationship development skills are a must.
Responsibilities
- Process referrals and increase market share from assigned accounts to achieve target forecast
- Work across all departments as necessary to coordinate care

- Develop good rapport with referral sources and other community groups
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families to ensure a smooth transition to home care
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years healthcare sales experience, home care experience and/or clinical background preferred (i.e. Nursing, Medical Social Work)
- Computer efficiency with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Current OH driver's license required
- Previous experience in hospice will be critical to being successful in this position
Qualifications
- BS/BA Degree in related field or business
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to develop good rapport with referral sources and other community groups
- Previous sales/marketing experience required, experience in healthcare-related field with a proven track record
