Account Executive
About the role
This is a full-cycle Account Executive role covering an established SMB territory across Western North America, with a focus on government and municipal clients. You will own the entire revenue motion: prospecting, discovery, demos, proposals, negotiation, and close. There is no BDR here; you are the hunter. You’re stepping into a warm seat. This role inherits an active pipeline with in-flight deals, giving you the opportunity to generate early commission momentum from day one. You’ll receive structured onboarding and dedicated sales coaching during your ramp. This is not a sink-or-swim environment; we invest in your success.
Responsibilities
- Own your territory end-to-end: prospect fanatically, build pipeline, run discovery, deliver demos, and close
- Develop and execute a territory plan to identify and prioritize target accounts across Western North America
- Conduct outbound prospecting via cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, and industry events
- Run consultative discovery calls using the Challenger Sale methodology to surface pain and align on value
- Manage the full sales cycle from first contact through signed agreement
- Maintain accurate pipeline hygiene and activity tracking in HubSpot
- Capture competitive and market intelligence to inform product and marketing teams
- Attend in-person conferences and company events as required
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of B2B SaaS sales experience, ideally in an SMB or public sector environment
- A self-starter who prospects independently and does not wait for leads to come to them
- Familiarity with the Challenger Sale methodology, or a strong appetite to learn it
- Comfortable managing a full sales cycle independently in a remote environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; confident on cold calls and in live demos
- Highly organized with strong time management; able to juggle multiple active opportunities without dropping the ball
- Positive, problem-solving mindset with a genuine interest in environmental impact
- Proficiency with HubSpot is a huge plus
- Based in Western USA or Western Canada (strong preference)
- Experience selling into municipal government or regulated industries is a strong asset
- Valid passport and ability to travel within the territory as needed

Pay
$60,000 - $70,000 Base Salary in your local currency + unlimited commission potential
Schedule
