Arizona/Las Vegas-based role focused on selling EF Contract Flooring’s commercial flooring products and driving sales activities in the assigned territory. Primary customers include commercial interior designers, architects, flooring contractors, dealers, and corporate clients in healthcare, education, government, and religious sectors.
Responsibilities
- Identify sales opportunities through new construction, refurbishing projects, and end-user initiatives.
- Generate leads by developing relationships with architects, designers, and commercial flooring contractors.
- Establish relationships with Strategic Accounts Executives to expand geographical growth of strategic accounts.
- Provide sales and marketing services, including sales calls, marketing materials, presentations, designer luncheons, and client entertainment.
- Manage flooring product projects/orders through specification, bidding, and supply stages.
- Maintain status and service on job bids and current specifications to secure ongoing projects.
- Build key relationships and networking opportunities through customer service and participation in trade/community organizations (e.g., IFMA, BOMA, IIDA).
- Update customer data daily in Quest-CRM, including contact details and project information.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the Regional Vice President.
Requirements
- Three to five years of experience in commercial interior (walls, furniture, etc.) and/or flooring outside sales, with a proven track record of success.
- Recent experience (within the last 12 months) working with the interior and architectural community in the designated geography is strongly preferred.
- College degree preferred.
- Strong drive to achieve sales metrics and meet territory budget goals while cultivating customer relationships.
- Ability to work evenings occasionally (3–5 times per month) for client entertainment.
- Excellent soft skills, including communication with diverse individuals and a strong sense of urgency/work ethic.
- Dedication to a full-time role (40+ hours per week, five days in the field).
- Problem-solving ability with empathetic delivery.
- Some overnight travel expected.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple project details.
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
- Frequent lifting of architect folders and flooring samples (up to 25 lbs), with occasional pushing/pulling of samples/supplies.
- Ability to drive or ride in a vehicle for extended periods.
- Must live within a 30-mile radius of the Phoenix/Scottsdale area.
