About the Role

As an Account Executive, you are responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities while managing and expanding relationships with existing clients. This role requires a proactive, consultative approach to sales, combining product knowledge, industry expertise, and a strong client focus. You will work cross-functionally with Marketing, Client Success, and Product teams to ensure client satisfaction and long-term retention.

Responsibilities

  • Help meet or exceed sales goals while ensuring high client satisfaction.
  • Support disciplined adherence to the Company’s CPS sales process, pricing policies, procedures, standards, templates, activity goals, and expectations.
  • Assist in maintaining account management responsibility after acquiring a new client and assigned Strategic Accounts thereafter.
  • Identify and develop new sales leads; build relationships to maintain an adequate pipeline to achieve assigned quota.
  • Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking opportunities to attract new prospective clients and expand the Company’s audience.
  • Strictly follow the Clearwater Performance Selling (CPS) sales process.
  • Actively participate in industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to attract and engage new prospective clients.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales, account management, or business development role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
  • Experience in managing high-value contracts.
  • Resides on the West Coast.
  • Familiarity with SaaS, tech, or healthcare sales preferred.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity, information risk management, and compliance standards, with a willingness to learn more.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field is preferred.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and desire to succeed.
  • Ability to assist in identifying target contacts and developing internal champions within accounts.
  • Proficiency with software tools/applications (e.g., Salesforce.com, Microsoft Office).
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of diverse individuals.

  • Build and maintain a valuable professional network by actively connecting with peers, mentors, and industry leaders, attending at least one networking event per quarter.
  • Expand your sales expertise and industry knowledge by dedicating time each week to read thought leadership articles, market reports, and competitor updates.
  • Stay current on tools that drive performance by exploring updates or new features monthly, and attending webinars or training sessions on emerging platforms.
  • Strengthen your credibility by pursuing certifications in areas like sales methodology, CRM tools, or industry-specific platforms.
  • Invest in ongoing learning and self-improvement by setting quarterly learning goals, such as completing a sales course, joining a professional community, or participating in a peer learning group.

Pay

The base salary range for this role is $100,000–$120,000. Base salary is part of a total rewards package that includes merit-based salary increases, eligibility for a 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, and leaves provided in line with your work state. Total compensation will depend on candidate experience, skills, education, and other factors permitted by law.
