Account Executive
About the role
The Account Executive (AE) role at BBDO New York is the backbone of the Account team. This person is responsible for the day-to-day execution of client projects and ensures seamless engagement across the agency departments. Strong communication skills, project management, and passion for advertising are key to this role. This person should be reliable, consistent, and proactive in working with both their immediate Account team as well as other members of the agency when needed. The ideal candidate will have a Never Finished attitude and be innately curious, ambitious, eager, and entrepreneurial. The performance standard for the AE role is excellence in team and client support.
The Account Executive reports to the Account Supervisor and, in some instances, may work directly with the Account Director on selected tasks.
Responsibilities
- Manage account relationships with client peers
- Document all client calls and meetings via conference reports to ensure accurate follow-up on agreements
- Build relationships and facilitate great communication among agency departments, integrated agency partners, and client contacts
- Thorough understanding of the client’s business, including strong knowledge of products/services, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment
- Strong knowledge of agency processes, including knowledge and experience with digital communications and social platforms
- Maintain weekly client and internal status report and ensure internal departments are informed about deadlines and deliverables
- Financial tracking and management of budgets and reporting with oversight from the Account Supervisor
- Maintain talent tracking including associated usage rights and costs
- Manage legal and network clearance, including knowledge of client compliance and regulatory compliance requirements
- Lead select projects with oversight and counsel from a supervisor. Examples of these would include competitive analysis, budget tracking, or other account-specific projects
Agency Engagement
- Active participant in positive agency culture
- Contribute to larger agency initiatives such as party planning, agency improvements, industry news, and advancements
- Energetic volunteer to jump in on new business
- Contribute to new business and agency growth and culture initiatives where time allows
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree minimum
- 1-2 years’ agency experience
- Strong oral, written, and presentation skills
- Interest in advertising, marketing, and digital trends
- Detail-oriented

- Self-starter and proactive approach
Office Requirements
BBDO has adopted a hybrid working environment. It is required for employees to be in the office Tuesday–Thursday and can work from home Monday and Friday.
Pay
$60,000 – $70,000
