Account Executive
About the role
AccountMakers has been engaged by a leading organization in the healthcare services industry to hire an Account Executive responsible for driving business growth across the Long Island and New York City market. This organization partners with insurance carriers, legal professionals, employers, and other organizations to deliver specialized healthcare and claims-related solutions that help clients improve efficiency and achieve better outcomes. This remote, field-based position offers the opportunity to join a well-established organization with a strong reputation and collaborative sales culture. Candidates should reside in or near Long Island to effectively support a high-volume territory that includes Long Island and the five boroughs of New York City.
Responsibilities
- Generating new business and managing existing client relationships
- Executing territory growth strategies
- Representing the organization at client meetings and industry events
- Frequent travel throughout the territory to build relationships, identify new opportunities, and deliver exceptional customer service
- Working closely with internal teams across sales, operations, and customer support to ensure an outstanding client experience
- Consistently achieving revenue goals
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in outside sales, business development, account management, or territory sales
- Proven success generating new business while growing and managing existing client relationships
- Experience developing and executing territory plans and consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Strong prospecting, consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Experience using CRM platforms for pipeline management, forecasting, and sales tracking
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret market trends, identify business opportunities, and develop creative solutions for client needs
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage clients, deliver business presentations, and collaborate across cross-functional teams
- Ability to travel frequently throughout the assigned territory and maintain a valid driver's license
- Highly motivated, organized, adaptable, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Compensation
Base salary of approximately $70,000–$80,000 annually, plus commission, depending on experience.
