Key Responsibilities
- Own and grow the Walmart account, serving as the primary point of contact for day-to-day commercial activity
- Develop and execute strategies to expand sales within Walmart through strong account management and new product opportunities
- Leverage prior Walmart experience to manage retailer expectations, timelines, processes, and communication effectively
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, line reviews, and proposals tailored to Walmart’s needs and seasonal calendar
- Collaborate with design and product development teams to align collections with Walmart requirements, timelines, and margin expectations
- Monitor open orders, shipment schedules, and account milestones, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they escalate
- Manage compliance requirements and retailer routing guide adherence
- Analyze sell-through reports and account performance data to identify reorder opportunities, gaps, and areas for growth
- Keep the broader internal team informed through clear, consistent communication and status updates
- Coincoperate with overseas factory partners on production timelines tied to account deliverables
- Maintain accurate CRM records of account activity, pipeline status, and sales forecasts
Required Qualifications
- Direct experience selling to Walmart is required
- 3+ years of retail-facing vendor sales experience, ideally within jewelry, accessories, fashion, or consumer goods
- Proven ability to manage major retail accounts with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Strong understanding of Walmart’s account structure, retail calendar, and vendor expectations
- Experience using retail data and performance reporting to drive decisions and identify growth opportunities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with a hands-on, ownership-driven approach
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint; CRM experience is a plus
- Willingness to commute to the Northern New Jersey office for regular in-person touchpoints
Preferred Background
- Experience selling products into Walmart in a vendor, wholesale, or branded consumer goods environment
- Background in jewelry, fashion accessories, or consumer products
- Experience with retailer systems, compliance processes, and vendor portals
- Experience coordinating with overseas sourcing and production partners
- New York metro area candidate open to a partial remote / New Jersey hybrid arrangement
