About the Role
We’re looking to add an Account Director, Speaker Bureau to our team. The Account Director is responsible for the end-to-end management and flawless execution of assigned Speaker Bureau programs. This role ensures all speaker activities are strategically aligned with brand objectives, delivered with operational excellence, and fully compliant with regulatory and corporate standards.
Responsibilities
- Support brand and corporate strategies by translating objectives into actionable execution plans
- Manage assigned Speaker Bureau programs to ensure alignment with business goals, financial parameters, and compliance expectations
- Track, monitor, and report key performance metrics such as speaker utilization, program reach, budget performance, and return on investment
- Maintain effective relationships with clients, healthcare professionals, speakers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to support long-term account stability and satisfaction
- Participate in strategic planning discussions and provide input on opportunities for growth and process improvement
- Serve as point-of-contact for compliance-related inquiries and escalate potential risks or issues as appropriate
- Supervise the speaker contracting process, including fair market value assessment, renewals, and payment tracking, ensuring adherence to internal policies and external regulations
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures, identify process gaps, and recommend or implement improvements
- Supervise Account Managers and Account Coordinators assigned to the team, collaborating with the Group Lead on performance management and development opportunities
Requirements
- 8–10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry, including experience managing Speaker Bureau or HCP engagement programs
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM/Speaker Bureau management systems (e.g., Veeva, HubSpot, or equivalent)
- Proven leadership experience supervising teams, managing budgets, and driving cross-functional initiatives
- Deep understanding of regulatory requirements governing HCP engagements, including PhRMA Code, Sunshine Act, and FDA guidance
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate brand objectives into operational plans
- Excellent project and program management skills, capable of managing complex, multi-brand portfolios
- Exceptional communication and relationship management skills
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., marketing, communications, public health)
- Experience with speaker management software and tools

- Salary range: $95,000 –$110,000 annually. Note: Actual salary will depend on background and experience.
