About the role

We are seeking individuals who embody forward-thinking, solutions-focused, innovative qualities, and possess an entrepreneurial spirit. Reporting to the SVP, Account Leadership, the Account Director role involves being a trusted partner to clients, delivering exceptional client experiences, and driving organic growth and referrals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong partnerships with the client team and lead client and internal calls.
  • Collaborate with the SVP, Account Leadership, and other departments to build a high-performing, proactive team seen as an invaluable extension of the client’s own.
  • Prospect and identify new business opportunities, present capabilities, respond to RFPs/RFIs, lead pitch presentations, make pricing decisions, write proposals, and close new business.
  • Implement start-up procedures and collaborate with the SVP, Account Leadership, and other internal and Syneos Health colleagues to achieve profitability goals.

Requirements

  • Good communicator who can articulate a clear, well-supported point of view and sell agency work.
  • Leader who can command attention, manage group dynamics, and steer clients or agency teams in the right direction.
  • Team player who can partner with internal teams and other Syneos Health agencies to develop a strong strategic or creative point of view.
  • Able to provide constructive feedback professionally and help improve work quality.
  • Knowledgeable about new technologies and innovations impacting the health marketplace, including AI tools.
  • Strong understanding of Addison Whitney and Syneos Health capabilities.
  • Capable of meeting assigned outreach, sales, business opportunity, and revenue goals.
  • Proactive in approaching opportunities, project challenges, and situations with curiosity and genuine interest in creative solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant work experience required.
  • Experience in Pharmaceuticals/Biotech and Medical Technology/Devices is strongly preferred.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to work both within a team and independently.
  • Able to travel periodically to conferences and to the home office in Charlotte, NC.

Benefits

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $115,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and/or individual performance.

Schedule

Some positions may require periodic travel to conferences and to the home office in Charlotte, NC.
