Job Description Summary

The Account Development Executive at Fusion Connect is responsible for prospecting, presenting, and selling advanced products and services to the existing customer base to generate new revenue. This role involves helping customers run their businesses more efficiently and securely, and crafting unique solutions to meet their needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Generate and develop new opportunities within the assigned account base through cold calling, business partnerships, and existing account management relationships.
  • Manage a set of key accounts to meet immediate customer needs, aiming to grow and retain the most valuable clients.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to current customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions through consultative selling.
  • Respond to Request for Proposals (RFPs), creating compelling business cases, and negotiating contracts for work.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners throughout the sales process, using business savvy and problem-solving skills to help customers identify opportunities.
  • Streamline processes and manage sales activities and forecasts, utilizing tools and resources to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage contact records and customer relationships, offering suggestions for improving interactions and developing one's own sales techniques within the consultative, solutions-focused model.

  • A self-motivated individual with a disciplined work ethic, able to quickly build business relationships with executive-level professionals.
  • A “hunter’s mentality,” with a strong desire and ability to seek out new sales opportunities.
  • A demonstrated ability to be an expert on enterprise offerings and be aware of competitors' strategies.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.
