Account Coordinator – Consumer PR (Food, Beverage, Wellness, Home Appliances, Wearable Tech)
About the Role
The RKPR Department specializes in public relations and social/digital campaigns for clients who are premier national brands in food & beverage, wellness lifestyle, consumer wearable technology, and household appliances. We are seeking an individual with the hunger, hustle, desire to learn and professionally grow, and the enthusiasm to effectively administer PR client accounts and deliver outstanding media relations results.
Responsibilities
- Maintains media lists.
- Writes press releases.
- Manages the daily media coverage for clients.
- Joins client PR account calls.
- Develops and maintains relationships with media contacts across all platforms.
- Manages on-site client product inventory.
- Learns Best Practices for public relations account management and earned media.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism, or related field.
- Prior PR internship experience/entry level work experience in our sector of Public Relations described above (PR agency-based is highly preferred).
- Working knowledge of all digital and social media platforms.
- Energetic, can-do attitude; works effectively in a team setting.
- Excellent written and oral and communications skills.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Effective listening and problem-solving skills.
- Creative thinker who brings a fresh perspective and innovative ideas to the team.
- Flexible and adaptable; works efficiently within a fast-paced PR environment.
- Organized and detail-oriented; manages schedule and tasks to produce deliverables by deadlines.
- Interested in public relations for client sectors of: food, beverage, wellness, consumer lifestyle, home appliance, consumer wearable technology, or any combination of the above.
- Loves reading and consuming media; is social media savvy.
- Thrives working in a fun collaborative team and on individual PR projects/assignments.
- Able to produce high-quality, timely deliverable results while working on concurrent PR assignments/projects.
Qualifications
- New York, NY Anticipated Hourly Salary: $23/hr. – $24/hr. Commensurate with experience and depending upon workplace.

Pay
- New York, NY Anticipated Hourly Salary: $23/hr. – $24/hr. Commensurate with experience and depending upon workplace.
Schedule
- Hybrid work schedule (1 weekday work in NYC office + 4 weekdays work from home)
