Accommodation Specialist (Evening Position)
for sections like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We must only include sections when posting has real specific content. We need to parse the posting.
First, there is an introductory paragraph about CSUN mission etc. That could be "About the role" or maybe "About the role" is not exactly present but we can treat introductory as "About the role". The instruction: use for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). So we can create headings accordingly.
We must not repeat the job title as a heading (the page already shows it). The job title is "Accommodations Specialist". Not to put as heading.
We must not put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a short
or drop it. We must preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail. Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. We need to include sections only when posting has real specific content. Let's extract content: - Introductory paragraph: "CSUN strives to be a destination workplace, where everyone understands that they belong to a community that is vital in advancing student success and providing exemplary service to all stakeholders. We foster an environment of success, both for our students and our employees. We have a relentless passion for celebrating diversity, equity, and inclusion as well as being an employer of choice. You will also have the opportunity to realize your own personal goals, be recognized for the work you do, and enjoy the unique value the CSUN community can offer. If this sounds like you, you’ve come to the right place. Learn more: https://www.csun.edu/about-csun ." We can treat as "About the role" (or maybe "About CSUN"). - Major Duties: a long paragraph describing duties. We'll put under
Responsibilities
with- items. Need to break into list items for each duty.
We must preserve all substantive info; we can split sentences into list items.
Let's extract duties sentences:
"Under general supervision, the Accommodations Specialist analyzes and interprets students' disability-related documentation, including psycho-educational documentation, for the determination of accommodations, disability-related support, and learning strategy support."
"The incumbent provides accommodation reviews and alternative testing accommodations for students."
"Provides student development and engagement services through individual counseling and group facilitation."
"Analyzes and interprets students' disability-related documentation, including psycho-educational documentation for determination of accommodations, disability-related support, and learning strategy support through an interactive intake process with students, including students who are Learning Disabled."
"Assists students with educational problems related to their disabling condition and learning experience at CSUN, including screening for learning disabilities."
"Provides student development and engagement services through individual counseling, group facilitation, career development activities, and community-building programs."
"Responsibilities may include supporting students with career exploration, résumé and cover letter development, interviewing and job-search skills, professional behavior, and preparation for employment."
"The counselor also develops and delivers training for faculty and staff, leads student groups and workshops, and facilitates activities that promote student connection, engagement, self-advocacy, and a sense of belonging within the campus community."
"Provides accommodation reviews and alternative testing accommodations for students" (duplicate)
"Researches current activity in the field of learning acquisition and students with disabilities in order to suggest integration of current theory and research into programs and activities that support student learning."
"Serves as an information resource for prospective students, staff, and faculty on disability issues and the provision of college access and accommodations."
"Serves as a liaison to specific departments or groups on campus."
"Performs other duties as assigned."
We need to deduplicate duplicates (like accommodation reviews appears twice). We'll keep unique.
Now Qualifications section: The posting has "Qualifications" heading with bullet-like sentences.
We need to decide whether to put under Requirements or Qualifications. The instruction says use headings like Requirements, Qualifications, Skills. We can combine.
We have "Qualifications" paragraph with multiple sentences. Also there is "Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities" section.
Thus we can have:
-
Qualifications
with- items for each qualification sentence.
-
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
with- items.
But we might combine Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities as Skills section.
The instruction: Use
for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). So we can have Skills heading. Thus we can put Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities under Skills. Now Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule: The posting includes a section "Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule". It contains: "The university offers an excellent benefits package, including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, retirement & savings, tuition waiver, and more." "Classification: 3084 / Student Services Professional III / 1" "The anticipated HIRING RATE is $5540 per month. The salary range for this classification is: $5540 - $7893 per month." "HOURS: Full Time; 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday 11:00am – 8:00 pm. May include evenings and weekends." "This is a Regular position with a one-year probationary period. The individual hired for this role will physically work on-campus in Northridge. This is not a telecommute position." We need to include Benefits, Pay, Schedule sections only if posting actually states them. It does state benefits, pay, schedule. So we should create separate sections: Benefits, Pay, Schedule. But we must not create a section if content is filler like "not specified". Here we have specifics. Thus: -
Benefits
with- items: medical, dental, vision, retirement & savings, tuition waiver, and more.
-
Pay
withmaybe: Anticipated hiring rate $5540 per month; salary range $5540 - $7893 per month. -
Schedule
with: Full Time; 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday 11:00am – 8:00 pm. May include evenings and weekends. Also we might include classification etc. Could be part of Pay or separate? Probably not needed. Now we need to remove boilerplate: EEO, equal opportunity, scam warning, application instructions, etc. Also remove the note about link to full position description, and the "General Information" section with background check, mandated reporter, out-of-state employment policy, H-1B, Education Code, application link, vaccine recommendation, etc. Those are boilerplate/legal. Remove them. Also remove duplicated lines. Now we need to preserve all substantive information: The substantive info includes the mission paragraph, duties, qualifications, knowledge/skills/abilities, benefits, pay, schedule. Also maybe classification? Might be considered metadata but could be kept under Pay? Not required. We'll output only HTML fragment. Structure:
