About the role

As an Accommodation Advisor at Fidelity, you will lead the interactive process with associates who have disabilities as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act and Amendments Act (ADA/ADAAA). Your role is to ensure the firm remains compliant with ADAAA guidelines set forth by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), while minimizing risk by identifying creative and reasonable accommodations that enable associates to perform the essential functions of their roles. You will collaborate with key stakeholders—including Legal, Business Unit HR, Corporate Technology, and others—to influence decision-making and implement tailored solutions. Additionally, you will contribute to strategic efforts that promote accessibility and inclusion across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead the interactive process for accommodation requests.
• Ensure compliance with ADAAA guidelines and EEOC regulations.
• Identify creative and reasonable accommodations to minimize risk.
• Collaborate with Legal, Business Unit HR, Corporate Technology, and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to strategic efforts promoting accessibility and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Experience with FMLA and leave management, as well as ADAAA, disabilities and accommodations (preferred).
• Background in Human Resources or Employee Relations.

• Ability to analyze and present case details to determine next steps and identify balanced solutions.
• Skilled in identifying and implementing standard practices, process improvements, and consistent approaches.
• Excellent time management, organization, and prioritization; capable of managing a caseload of 200–250 complex accommodation requests.
• Strong written communication skills for documentation and customized correspondence.
• Exceptional verbal communication skills for educating associates via inbound/outbound calls.
• Proven consulting, influencing, and relationship management abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership skills to drive solution‑focused initiatives.
• Effective problem‑solving skills with a self‑motivated approach and accountability for results.
• Comfortable navigating uncharted territory to develop effective accommodation solutions.

Schedule

Fidelity is transitioning to a full‑time onsite working model through a phased rollout. Currently some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less; onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
