Schedule
8/9-hour day shift, Monday – Friday.
Responsibilities
- Install, restore, repair, maintain, and set up NSM stairlifts, ceiling lifts, VPLs, ramps, and other accessibility products in clients’ homes and/or facilities according to factory and clinical specifications.
- Perform maintenance of tools, shop supplies, and other items necessary for service work.
- Set up and install products delivered out of store at customers' homes and facilities.
- Communicate directly with customers to diagnose technical problems, provide assurance, and maintain proper records of work performed, including time, materials, quotations, work orders, customer orders, and invoices.
- Complete quotations, work orders, and customer orders for accurate billing.
- Collaborate with in-store Customer Service Representatives to review daily paperwork and assist the Warehouse Technician with storing accessibility products.
- Provide in-store and out-of-store customer service, including assistance with product selection and liaison with therapists.
- Organize and identify parts for repairs and stock, optimizing parts levels and updating the information system.
- Troubleshoot faulty equipment for customers either over the phone or on-site.
- Fabricate and install customized components for customer equipment within established guidelines.
- Communicate with suppliers for technical assistance, warranty resolution, return authorizations, and defective goods returns.
- Ensure NSM name stickers are on all equipment.
- Acquire continual education through product literature, in-house training, manufacturer specialized training, or in-branch sessions.
- Pick up equipment from customer residences and verify all components are returned undamaged.
- Manage time by attending appointments punctually, notifying the branch of delays, and returning to perform in-branch duties when completed.
- Assist other technicians with equipment delivery and repairs as needed.
- Attend seating clinics with the Rehab Technology Specialist to assist with evaluations, modifications, and deliveries.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including inventory, warehouse management, sales floor tasks, or any branch-related responsibilities.
Requirements
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds.
- Must pass drug and background check.
- Valid driver’s license.
- High School Diploma or equivalency certificate.
