The Access Services Supervisor assists the Library Director in the management, supervision, and administration of the library. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring access to library resources for students, faculty, and staff. Areas of supervision include library circulation, course reserves, and interlibrary loan. The Access Services Supervisor participates in collection development, acts as a liaison for facilities requests, assists in the creation and implementation of library policy, and assists in the maintenance of the physical collection & space.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the library circulation assistant student workers and provide circulation policies and procedures training and maintenance.
- Troubleshooting: help with resolving technical problems related to access and maintenance of library resources.
- Work with campus Information Technology Services department to ensure subscribed resources work properly on current hardware and software configurations.
- Maintain configuration in OCLC WorldShare Management System for subscribed resources.
