Position Summary

The Access & Reimbursement Manager (ARM) will serve as a subject matter expert on access & reimbursement for FILSPARI (Sparsentan), providing education and case-specific support to internal and external stakeholders including health care providers (HCPs) and sales force within their assigned region.

Responsibilities

  • Proactive Office Support Throughout FILSPARI Onboarding Process
    • Key contact responsible for patient access and reimbursement in an assigned geography
    • Supports offices through the FILSPARI onboarding process, from PSF submission to REMS enrollment to reimbursement
    • Educates physicians and practices on the full onboarding process, including PSF completion, REMS enrollment, prior authorization, appeals, and reimbursement requirements
    • Maintains oversight of cases as they progress through the onboarding process, escalating complex issues as necessary
  • Cultivate the Highest Level of Expertise in the FILSPARI Onboarding Process
    • Identifies and solves complex patient access issues by collaborating with various stakeholders
    • Collaborates with Hub, HCP offices, and reimbursement stakeholders to resolve access issues and ensure proper education to prevent future hurdles
    • Communicates challenges and solutions to sales force and sales leadership, coordinating with Hub, specialty pharmacies, and REMS administrators to move cases forward efficiently
  • Sales Force Communication / Partnership
    • Provides timely and regular updates on case statuses, leveraging a network of reimbursement stakeholders
    • Partners with sales force to educate on complexities surrounding the pharmaceutical reimbursement process
    • Coordinates with Hub, specialty pharmacies, and REMS administrators to share information and work together to move cases forward
    • Manages daily tasks and schedules to accommodate ad-hoc communication from sales force and leadership
  • Proactive Trend Identification and Key Account Education
    • Identifies and anticipates changes in the healthcare landscape, acting as the Subject Matter Expert for FILSPARI onboarding and reimbursement
    • Monitors payer trends and educates both internal (sales) and external (HCPs) stakeholders on changes
    • Develops quarterly business plans to address identified reimbursement barriers

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required
  • Equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience may be considered
  • 5+ years in pharmaceutical / health industry working with Hubs, payers, HCPs or related areas
  • 3+ years reimbursement / access / case management experience
  • Specialty pharmaceutical, nephrology, rare disease, REMs experience preferred

  • Ability to perform face-to-face work with customers, colleagues, and onsite in San Diego
