Access Control Technician

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Access Control Technician to install, service, and troubleshoot gate operators, keypads, card readers, and access control systems at self-storage facilities throughout the Indianapolis area.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair gate operators, keypads, card/fob readers, and door alarms
• Run and terminate low-voltage wiring (Cat5e/Cat6, control wire)
• Diagnose and resolve access control and camera system issues
• Work independently at customer sites while maintaining clear communication with dispatch

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in low-voltage, electrical, or security/access control work
• Comfortable working outdoors and using hand/power tools
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Basic understanding of relays and networking (IP cameras/NVR) is a plus
