Access Control & Security Systems Technician

About the role

S.A.M.S. Inc. is seeking an experienced Access Control & Security Systems Technician (Installer II) for a full-time, in-person position in the Raleigh-Durham, NC area. This is not an entry-level cable‑pulling role; we require 2+ years of low‑voltage experience and hands‑on commercial access control/security installation experience. The ideal candidate can complete quality work with minimal supervision, troubleshoot problems in the field, and take ownership of the job. Responsibilities

• Independently install and assist with commissioning commercial physical security systems throughout the Raleigh-Durham area and Southeast.
• Work with electronic access control systems, card readers, electric strikes, magnetic locks and electrified door hardware.
• Install REX devices, door contacts, motion sensors and push buttons.
• Handle control panels and power supplies.
• Perform low‑voltage cabling, termination, labeling and testing.
