Access Control/Security Specialist
About the role
PacArctic, LLC, a Koniag Government Services Company, is seeking an Access Control/Security Specialist to support the FBI Operational Technology Division (OTD) at Quantico, VA. This position requires a Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibility and the willingness and ability to pass a CI Polygraph. This position supports the FBI at Quantico, VA from 7am – 3:30pm (Mon – Fri) with the option to be flexible to cover the 8am - 5pm (early shift) based on mission needs and counterpart staffing.
Responsibilities
- Use FBI access control databases, including Phoenix and SOPU Gatekeeper visitor database.
- Conduct scattered castles and/or JPAS verifications as requested.
- Process incoming Visitor Access Requests (VAR) and enter information into the appropriate database.
- Coordinate VAR information with FBI Security Division personnel.
- Process and coordinate foreign visitors' access to OTD facilities.
- Prepare electronic communications (ECs) in Sentinel as required.
- Process FBI Limited Access Request (LAR) paperwork, including coordinating approvals/denials with the FBI Security Division, notifying the OTD point-of-contact, entering details into the database, and preparing associated EC.
- Issue badges and IDs in accordance with policy and utilize the badge system as directed.
- Maintain and monitor CCTV video.
- Conduct perimeter checks.
- Coordinate with Quantico Security Operations Center (QSOC) for emergency response and alarm activity.
- Screen visitors and their belongings with an X-ray machine and a metal detector.
- Complete visual checks if X-ray machine and/or metal detector is not available.
- Aid with escort duties as needed.
Requirements
- Final Top-Secret personnel security clearance and eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) special accesses.
- Minimum of three (3) years security experience in relevant fields, such as industrial security, physical security, and computer/network security, or a minimum of five (5) years of experience in any security-related field.
- Skilled in creating complex spreadsheets (Excel), preparing briefings (PowerPoint), Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Excellent communication skills; capable of providing security briefings and debriefings; and providing comprehensive written communications.
- Professional and customer-service oriented demeanor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any field.
Skills
- Skilled in creating complex spreadsheets (i.e. Excel, etc.).
- Prepared briefings (i.e. PowerPoint, etc.).
- Proficient in Word and Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong communication skills.
- Customer-service oriented.
