What You'll Do
- Install, program, and service commercial access control systems
- Install and configure CCTV camera systems and NVRs
- Install, program, and troubleshoot burglar alarm systems
- Run, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling
- Configure network-connected security devices
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and communication issues
- Train customers on system operation and best practices
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and project documentation
- Complete service calls and installation projects independently and with a team
Systems and Technologies You'll Work With
- Access Control: DoorKing, ButterflyMX, Latch, Dormakaba, Kantech
- Video Surveillance: Luma, ClareVision, Honeywell, Digital Watchdog, Turing Video
- Burglar Systems: Honeywell, DSC
Job Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial access control installation and service experience
- Experience with card readers, RFID systems, magnetic locks, electric strikes, request-to-exit devices, telephone entry systems and smart locks
- 3+ years of commercial CCTV installation and troubleshooting experience
- Experience with burglar alarm installation, programming, and service
- Working knowledge of networking and IP-based systems
- Able to read blueprints and technical documentation
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Able to pass background screening
- Able to use hand and power tools
- Some travel required
