About the role
This role focuses on managing the financial aspects of patient care, including billing, insurance claims, payment processing, financial counseling, utilization and revenue cycle analysis. These roles are responsible for managing patient entry points into the healthcare system, including scheduling, registration, and verifying insurance. Patient access staff ensure that patients can efficiently navigate administrative processes while maintaining data accuracy and enhancing the patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage financial aspects of patient care including billing, insurance claims, payment processing, financial counseling, utilization and revenue cycle analysis
- Manage patient entry points into the healthcare system, including scheduling, registration, and verifying insurance
- Ensure patients can efficiently navigate administrative processes while maintaining data accuracy and enhancing the patient experience
- Deliver support services or activities, typically under supervision
- Communicate information that requires explanation or interpretation
- Make minor adjustments to working methods
- Problems are typically of a routine nature, but may at times require interpretation or deviation from standard procedures
Requirements
- High School Graduate or Equivalent required
- Associates degree preferred
- 2 years relevant experience required; Access Associate fully cross-trained to cover multiple specialties will be considered in lieu of the 2 years relevant experience
- No licensure required

- Proficient communicative skills across spoken and writing domains
- Adequate auditory and visual skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to write legibly and compose messages clearly and concisely

Pay
The pay range for this role is $15.07 - $30.14 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
