Access and Kidslife Ministry Coordinator

Full-time position serving, assisting, and leading in family ministry through the Access ministry, primarily within Kidslife. This role works closely with the Family Pastor and Access Associate to serve kids, students, and adults with disabilities, as well as their families, while leading children and families of Fellowship Bible Church in a developmental capacity.

About the Role

To see the gospel and the Church made accessible to every person or family with disabilities. This role serves on the Family Ministry team to help lead the children and families of Fellowship Bible Church.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an authentic and growing walk with Jesus Christ.
• Live out the vision and mission of Fellowship Bible Church in personal life.
• Oversee the spiritual direction and health of a leadership team.
• Disseminate the spiritual vision and mission of the church.
• Complete other tasks as assigned.

Access Ministry Program Development & Accessibility

• Evaluate church facilities for accessibility (physical, ASL, sensory, communication).
• Ensure safety and best practices in all ministry environments.
• Partner with ministry leaders to adapt programming.
• Maintain policies that ensure dignity, safety, and excellence.
• Develop appropriate accommodations for worship services, children’s ministry, student ministry, life groups, and other church events.

Community Partnerships

• Use the adapted toy drive and workshop as outreach tools to the community.
• Serve as a bridge between the church and the disability community.

Administration & Communication

• Manage ministry budget and resources.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding events, expectations, care, and updates.
• Support and care for volunteers.

Kidslife Ministry

• Fulfill the Fellowship Kids leader schedule weekly.
• Update and maintain a master schedule weekly.
• Coordinate and staff all Fellowship childcare events.
• Be on-call for last-minute sign-ups and needs for childcare events as well as weekend services.
• Assist in onboarding and training all new volunteer leaders.
