Access Ministry Coordinator

This position is part-time.

About the Role

To serve, assist, and lead in family ministry through the Access ministry throughout the church, primarily in Kidslife. This person will work with the Family Pastor to serve kids, students, and adults with disabilities as well as their families. The goal is to see the gospel and the Church made accessible to every person or family with disabilities.

• The ability to work well with others on a team.
• The ability to manage multiple projects with multiple deadlines.
• The ability to take existing systems and make them better.
• A willingness to serve behind the scenes without receiving up-front praise.
• A self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an authentic and growing walk with Jesus Christ.
• Live out the vision and mission of Fellowship Bible Church in personal life.
• Oversee the spiritual direction and health of a leadership team.
• Disseminate the spiritual vision and mission of the church.
• Complete other tasks as assigned.

Program Development & Accessibility

• Evaluate church facilities for accessibility (physical, ASL, sensory, communication).
• Ensure safety and best practices in all ministry environments.
• Partner with ministry leaders to adapt programming.
• Maintain policies that ensure dignity, safety, and excellence.
• Develop appropriate accommodations for worship services, children’s ministry, student ministry, life groups, and other events in the church.

Community Partnerships

• Use the adapted toy drive and workshop as ways to reach out to the community.
• Serve as a bridge between the church and the disability community.

Administration & Communication

• Manage ministry budget and resources.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding events, expectations, care, and updates.
• Support and care for volunteers.
