Academy Instructor

About the Role

The True Swing Golf Academy at Caguas Golf Club in Caguas, Puerto Rico is seeking a teaching professional to launch a new facility in the Winter of 2026. The instructor will execute player development programs within an established curriculum and philosophy developed by True Swing founder, Erika Larkin, PGA (Golf Digest Top 50 Teacher since 2022).

This role is designed for a professional who is passionate about coaching golf, values community, creativity, organization, and growth. The candidate will help establish the instructional culture at the facility and within the central Puerto Rico community as one of the few public-access facilities.

The instructor will be an employee of Caguas Golf Club and will report to Erika Larkin as well as on-site management at Caguas Golf Club. Speaking Spanish is a bonus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver private lessons and group classes for a variety of skill levels
• Conduct multi-day destination golf schools
• Run a variety of player development programs
• Help establish the instructional culture at the facility and within the local community

Facility Description

Caguas Golf Club (formerly Caguas Real Golf & CC) is an 18-hole public golf facility that has undergone a full renovation over the last 18 months. The True Swing Golf Academy building will sit on the north end of a double-ended driving range adjacent to a large short-game area and grass tee.

The Academy will feature:

• 3 Platform Golf studio bays
• Sports Box 3D technology
• Trackman radars

Other features on the property (opening in 2027) include:

• A double-decker, lit, covered range facility with In-Range technology and gaming
• Restaurants, cigar lounge, gaming, simulation, karaoke, and entertainment plaza
• Children’s activity center
• Large pavilion for Pickleball/Padel courts

Next door is an existing Four Points Sheraton & Casino. Caguas Golf Club will be a premier public entertainment complex located only 20 minutes from the largest metropolitan areas on the island.

Program Philosophy

True Swing is a teaching philosophy founded and popularized by Erika Larkin. Rooted in simplicity and pendulum swing physics (inspired by teachings of coaching legend Ernest Jones), True Swing believes that using the 5 core principles—Tempo, Flow, Freedom, Energy, and Balance—can unlock more natural and efficient motion, consistency, and joy for golfers.
