Responsibilities
- Lead the Driver Recruiter process and develop plans and strategies to maintain a sufficient staff of Drivers to ensure continued growth in all Company fleets.
- Manage the driver recruiting process and ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations to maintain the highest standard of safety.
- Achieve regional growth/hiring goals set forth by the Company leadership team.
- Oversee the coaching and counseling of recruiters in assigned areas to encourage employee development and performance improvement.
- Evaluate Driver requirements and develop plans and strategies for achieving hiring goals for all Company fleets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Terminal Managers and Business Unit leaders in assigned areas to resolve concerns and meet individual business needs.
- Assist with the new driver internal website experience and job board to ensure the website is relevant and aligns with department strategic objectives.
- Structure training and direct data integrity of the Driver Recruiting staff to enhance skills.
- Direct the Recruiting department for improved Driver retention to meet department and Company goals.
- May be responsible for various other areas within Recruiting (Dedicated, Job Creation, Coordinators, etc.).
- Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.
Requirements
- 2+ years of transportation experience required.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain, evaluate, and utilize statistical information.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate others.
